MedRus Connect ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

MedRus Connect is an education consultancy that helps international students apply to medical universities in Russia. Our head office is located at Flat no.5, Nagar Palika Campus, Chaya Chauraha, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India, with regional consultants in Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, and Bangalore.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide to us, and only what is necessary to assist you with your inquiry or admission. This includes:

  • Identification data — full name, country of residence
  • Contact details — email address, phone number / WhatsApp number, Telegram handle
  • Academic data — Class 10+2 marks (PCB %), NEET score (if applicable), preferred universities
  • Inquiry content — the message or questions you send us
  • Technical data — basic browser information (IP address, browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and analytics purposes

We do not collect any payment-card data, government IDs, passwords, or biometric data through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiry and provide free counseling about studying MBBS in Russia
  • To assess your eligibility for partner universities
  • To send you information about admissions, deadlines, and visa procedures (only if you explicitly request it)
  • To process applications to Russian medical universities on your behalf, if you formally engage us
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data based on:

  • Consent — you voluntarily submit a contact form or send us a message
  • Performance of a contract — when you formally engage us for admission services
  • Legitimate interest — to improve our services and respond to inquiries efficiently

5. Who has access to your data

Your information is treated confidentially and is shared only with:

  • Authorized MedRus Connect counselors handling your case
  • The specific Russian university you have asked us to apply to (only at the application stage, with your consent)
  • Service providers we use to operate the website (Formspree for form delivery, Yandex 360 for email hosting). These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality.

We never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with marketing companies, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

6. How long we keep your data

If you submit an inquiry but do not engage us, we retain your data for up to 24 months to allow follow-up support, after which it is deleted or anonymized. If you formally engage us for admission, we retain your records for as long as legally required (typically 3 years after the end of services) for documentation and audit purposes.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Cookies and tracking

This website uses minimal cookies, only where necessary for basic functionality (such as remembering your selected language). We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers, behavioral profiling cookies, or social-media pixels. If this changes in future, we will update this Policy and request your consent where required.

9. Data security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: TLS encryption (HTTPS) on all pages, server-side firewalls, restricted access to inquiry data, and regular security updates of our hosting infrastructure. However, no system is 100% secure — please avoid sending sensitive documents (passport scans, financial data) through public web forms.

10. International data transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union (Helsinki, Finland), and our email infrastructure is hosted in Russia. By submitting your data through this website, you consent to its transfer to and storage in these jurisdictions.

11. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for prospective university students aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when changes were made. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
